You can explore artifacts from the Union and Confederate armies, the career of General Robert E Lee, the fall of Richmond, and the battles of Antietam, Gettysburg, and more. There are also displays and artwork that touch on the social, economic, and political issues surrounding the war, such as civil rights, slavery, and Reconstruction.
The museum also features tableaus that bring the events of the Civil War to life.
The National Civil War Museum features a number of artifacts from the Union and Confederate armies, including weapons and uniforms, General Robert E. Lee’s chair, letters and documents, a medical kit, battlefield relics, and more. Visitors can also explore art, photographs, and objects that illustrate life during the Civil War era, including images of the Union and Confederate flags, 19th century newspapers, and tools used by enslaved individuals.
